‘I am Asmati, local from high mountainous Adjara. I was born and raised in the village – first of May , and later got married here as well. Working with bees is my favorite activity. I also love working and tending to my strawberry garden. My day starts at 7am:

• I go to cattleshed to get milk
• Then I depasture animals
• When I return home I make dairy products like cheese
  and butter
• Then I go to the bees and spend time with them until noon,
  because in spring the bees need more attention
• In the evenings I clean strawberry seedlings from weeds,
  water them and pick the fruit
• Then I go to cattleshed again to feed the cows again
• At the end of the day we all sit down at the table and eat
  natural products ‘

✅ Masterclass in Ajarian cooking/tasting  –  You  can  learn how to prepare, as well as taste   popular and landmark dishes of Ajarian cuisine such as :

• Adjarian khachapuri
• Borano
• Sinori
• Chirbuli, which is made with eggs, walnuts, garlic. all this together with fried onions and barberry on top, which gives the dish a very interesting taste and flavor.
• Pkhalobio is a seasonal dish cooked from October to March as its ingredients are Pkhali and beans seasoned with wallnuts and garlic.
• Calajo is the favourite breakfast of Keda dwellers, made of aged Mchadi, burnt butter and fried Nadughi.
• Kejera- is pickled Pkha
• Khatmere- dough stuffed with sweet walnuts.
• Burme- my ancestors used to make it of Baklava dough, with walnuts, sugar – all to be fried in home made peasant butter.

Secret of the dishes is that all ingredients should be homemade.

✅Vodka distillation / tasting – Visitors can be participate in the process of vodka making and try freshly distilled alcohol (optional) and, most importantly, we offer our guests to distill our special honey vodka with an amazing taste and aroma.

✅Hiking in the mountains – we offer our guests to climb Tbati Mountain and some transportation services, if requested. At guests’ option, they can stay in our mountainious   Visitors will find breathtaking views, clouds, nature and environment.   The road to the mountain is seven  7 kilometers long, a picnic will be arranged during the break on the way.

✅Agro Tourism – We have an orchard, a vegetable garden and a blueberry plantation near the house, where the visitor can see the produce growing but also pick and taste it.

✅Uncapping and honey tasting – we have our own honey production, beehives. We shall teach our guests how to uncap and extract honey and introduce them to the basics of beekeeping.    We shall also share some apiatric secrets, harvest the honey together and taste the honeycombs and honey afterwards.

✅Introduction to livestock breeding – we have some If desired, our visitors can take part in the milking process, cheese making and tasting.

✅Family Water Mill – We shall take our guests to the mill, where they will be able to observe the process of corn grinding and will also take part in    If desired, they can participate in wheat and corn bread making and tasting.

✅Excursion – We shall organize a tour to historical and remarkable places such as: the Tamar’s Bridge, the Tsivasuri Fortress (hiking trail) and Makhuntset Waterfall (car service).
